We need to talk about the PlayStation 5.

I maybe late to the party on how router-like the Playstation 5's design is but I'm going to say it. The PlayStation 5 looks like a router and it's controller looks like a white DualShock wearing a tanktop. However, we must not focus on how stupidly hilarious the design is (Sony designers: What paint were you smoking?) and talk about the games. It's got some new games confirmed, namely Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Gran Turismo 7 and Stray, we will be talking about a few of them in this article.

Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart

While I may not be a fan of Ratchet & Clank, the graphics and effects in the trailer look phenomenal and the demo gameplay also looks great and if the trailer is anything to go by, it may be a mission to try to get to other dimensions to find Ratchet and/or Clank as either both or one of the characters and the music sounds orchestrated. It seems great and will probably be a great title to launch with the system coming holiday 2020!

Gran Turismo 7

Before even watching the trailer, I made sure to set my expectations low considering Gran Turismo hasn't changed considerably over the last 23 years as it's an in-depth racing game but still at core a racing game. The trailer music reminded me of Knight Rider at the start but ended more heoric and the graphics were on-par for the series: great and the models look shiny and metallic with the usual great lighting. THe music during the gameplay showcase was calm and the usual Gran Turismo calm menu music. It appears humans are actually a species in GT! There seems to be a large collection of content and the HUD looks complex but still easy to understand. It doesn't have a current release date however.

Wow, while the trailer shows no gameplay, the Japanese cyberpunk theme is amazing! There are no humans, only robots and it seems great, the graphics are amazing and the models look incredible! You can see the finest details of the cat's textures! The game and music gives me vibes like Room, a 2015 movie I watched recently and really enjoyed! While I can't say much for the game, the trailer shows much promise! While it is coming out in 2021 on the PS5 and the PS4 and will eventually come to PC, all footage on the trailer is from the PS5 and probably will look better on the PS4 Pro than the PS4 but will probably look it's best on PS5 or a balling gaming rig.

To be honest, I think Stray looks to be the most exciting game and I'm interested! I think that the PS5 is going to sell well over 100 million units over it's life as (almost) all consoles blessed by Sony seem to do and of course GTA V is coming to the system as a launch title but it will be free and expanded on PS5: keep that in mind as the PSN servers on launch may be a bit rocky due to all the traffic for GTA V.
